You don’t want to miss Bloomington Brewing Co.’s annual installment of Homegrown Ale, made with hops grown by Head Brewer Floyd Rosenbaum at Loesch Farm and on draft now at the Bloomington Brewpub at Lennie’s.

During his fourth growing season, Rosenbaum grew his largest hops crop to date at our Bloomington farm: In August, he harvested 50 pounds of 100% organic Cascade hops with a little help from his friends (check out all the pics from the Loesch Farm hop harvest).

The 2013 Homegrown Ale is golden-hued and light-bodied with a subtle grassy aroma and flavor that finishes with a slightly piney bite.
